Celebrate not only what has been brought to fruition during the past year - and also in your life. If there is a clear night arriving, visit a high place with a view of the night sky when the moon is full. This month it will be December 15th. Take a drum, a cup of mead or wine, a warm blanket and a cushion on which to sit and wait. This is the time to write a poem or update your diary or Book of Secrets. When you see the moon, call upon the Moon Goddess, our most extraordinary satelite luminary. It is exactly the same size when seen from the Earth as the Sun. It keeps only one side of its face towards us. On our right, is the Moon card, number 18, the Night Journey. On our left is card number
6, the card of the Lovers, both are images from Amy Zerner and Monte Farber's
The Enchanted Tarot. The Lovers is the card of attraction. It might be a
romantic lover, or
it might be a love that you have for a new home, a new job or a new life
path.
When you know who you are, in truth, you will be able to make wise
decisions, but not until then. Any dissatisfactions will affect your choices as you
try to
avoid what you don’t want, rather than be attracted to what you really
do want.
The accompanying guide book with this tarot deck suggests a short ritual where you gather the dust of well dried
rose
petals and place it in a pink silk bag and hang it around your neck on a
chain
or ribbon. Light two pink candles and chant: “Vice or virtue, I must
choose;
guide my choice so I can’t lose.” Sprinkle the rose dust and
your
choice will be made clear!
The Enchanted Tarot is a deck designed with the beauty of fabric and handicraft and it lends its wisdom to our life. When the full moon has passed, stand under its waning light near a natural water source. Visualise a circle of protective light around you. Hold a black stone in your hand. Project any unwanted feelings into this stone. Hurl it away from you. Say “With this stone - fear be banished; into water it has vanished.”
