Your Spiritual Journey

“The real story today is to define what it means to be spiritual. This is the biggest story - of the century.”  Bill Moyers

We are all brought up with some kind of spiritual understanding, but how many give this topic much thought? We accept what we are told and yet, it governs our lives, and is the most important aspect of our lives. We make outer journeys everyday, but the inner journey is the most vital!

Even those who practice a religion are often not considering their spiritual path. What could this path be? Mainly it is doing what is right and having empathy with others, but how do we know how best to walk this path of righteousness and wisdom?

I will provide a 7 top tips to walk the path of the righteous:

Care for others with understanding, kindness and compassion, especially those most in need.
Give generously to others, especially avoid meanness, and exploitation.
Be honest and offer truth, especially avoid lies, manipulation and trickery.
Be humble and keep the ego in check so others do not feel put down. Praise others so they feel worthwhile. Offer equality at all times and never indulge in jealousy.
Seek justice for yourself and also support others in their quest for justice. Avoid anger, resentment or the wish to get even for wrongdoing. Forgive and move on.
Be at peace and have a tranquil heart. Avoid pointless and stressful situations that sap your strength.
Seek for clarity, simplicity and wisdom and keep intelligent conversation and companions.

We cannot expect a society to run in an organised, caring and practical way, unless we, ourselves are prepared to work hard so that those in vulnerable positions, such as disabled, unwell, elderly, etc., will be looked after with shelter, food, clothes, warmth, etc. Work is therapeutic. We learn more and more each day and it gives purpose and meaning to our lives.

The search for truth is one of the greatest quests. We. Are to consider, research, make judgments and decisions each day which must be based on truth if we are to live the best life we can.

Walk the path of the righteous and you will make the world a better place for having lived!
