Astral Projection

Astral Projection is the art and skill of using tone's 'astral' /subtle inner 'body' to travel at distance from where the physical body is currently situated.

It is usually conducted whilst meditating in a quiet place though can occur spontaneously. To perform astral projection, ensure you will not be interrupted, lie or sit in a comfortable position and breathe slowly. I use alternate nostral breathing, but you can use any method of relaxation that works for you. Then allow your breathing to return to normal.
Warning: Out of Body Experiences (OOBEs) are difficult to achieve and come with a warning, as anyone who has any mental health condition should not attempt any kind of psychic work. If you discover that you are having unhealthy thoughts or experiences, all psychic work should stop immediately.
Astral Projection is often used for Remote Viewing which was well described in Betty Shine's book 'Mind Waves'. She said she was able to 'visit' her family when she was evacuated from London during WWII and was living in the countryside. She pictured herself in her family home and could hear what was being said by her family, which she related to them, and they confirmed.

Sample: Close your eyes and imagine someone or somewhere you know well and would like to visit. See this in detail, allow yourself to sense the atmosphere, smell any scents, hear any sounds that might be taking place in the here and now. Place your hands upon your solar plexus. Feel any warmth that is taking place in this region. Imagine the colour yellow is radiating from this chakra. (Just below the sternum). A gentle sound is emitted as the rays of colour turn into a ray of light that emerges from this area and moves gently in space, extending like a piece of elastic. This grows in length and moves through space. It can move through walls and travel faster than the speed of light. It is travelling through time and space to the place you are imagining. You see this ray of yellow band enter the scene you have imagined. It moves around so that you can see from above, at the back of, and near the floor of the place or person. Now, you need to have some proof that your astral projection has been successful. Build with the yellow colour a light body similar to your own. Move some items in this place or touch the person you have in your mind's eye. This will be a proof that you were there in your astral body.

After you have done this, reel in your light body into a thin ray of yellow light and return to your physical body in the same way that you came to this place. The ray of light enters your solar plexus. You might feel a strange sensation. Do not move immediately. Do some breathing exercises. Gently move your fingers and toes. Open your eyes when you are ready. Make notes and find out if items moved or if someone sensed your presence.

The third eye is sometimes linked to astral projection. Ancient civilisations all over the world knew the powers of the third eye and honoured this energy centre.

‘Hindu (especially Shiva), Buddhist and Jain deities are usually shown with a third eye in the middle of the forehead to represent enlightenment/higher consciousness that is achieved through meditation,’ says Wendy. ‘In these traditions, bindis are often worn in the middle of the forehead to represent the opening of the third eye.

Some people believe that the ancient Egyptians were honouring the third eye with hieroglyphics of the Eye of Ra and the Eye of Horus, which were always depicted in the singular.

Many civilisations associated the pineal gland with the third eye, which was often symbolised as a pinecone due to it’s similar shape. The pinecone symbol appears in ancient Egyptian and Greek artwork, as well as in portraits of Sumerian gods depict a pinecone held out in one hand, thought to symbolise consciousness expanding. Interestingly, pinecones are sensitive to the weather and open when it’s dry and close when it’s wet, which seems a fitting symbol for the sensitive third eye.’
