Sun Cycle Cards

I chose number 4, Hemera, Rebirth. She is the primordial embodiment of the day who disperses the mists of the night, and bathes the world in heavenly light. When we experience a life changing transformation, we return to a world where old meanings no longer hold value for us, and we feel a displacement. When the regular world no longer makes sense, we begin to find new meaning, we see with fresh eyes, and need to make appropriate changes. This transformation is taking place, emerging from darkness to a life changing period that brings wisdom. This takes time, bravery and exploration. A new year has been born, with a new self for loving and nurturing, to grow to full potential. The journey has been challenging but the result is an awakening and a surfacing from night into the day, changed, reinvigorated and renewed. Mythic Oracle.

Hera is still and her deep waters say “No need to rock the boat!”
Seated on her heavenly golden throne, the Goddess of the Sky wears a royal crown surmounted by peacocks, her sacred bird. In her left hand she holds the pomegranate, its teeming seeds are a symbol of life eternal. In her right, she holds the staff of authority, at the top of which is the crescent moon cupping the orb of the sun. A cuckoo sits on the head of the staff - this is Zeus as he first appeared to her! She is Goddess of women, marriage and maternity. She is an idealised wife though Zeus punished her, beating and binding her, suspending her from the skies!
Hera’s reign with Zeus was a constant quarrel causing celestial thunderings as the Olympian crockery flew across the divine living room! She is a noble and modern matron, her crown defines her role as the respected queen of the pantheon. Her temples were on the highest mountains to denote her elevated status.
When Zeus appeared to Hera for the first time, she took pity on him, drenched with the icy water of winter. She picked him up and held him to her warm breast. Immediately, he became overly amorous and she was fighting for her honour.
The card represents influences of maturity, dignity, preservation and sustenance. https://wendystokes.co.uk
